Repurpose your content To reach all of your target audience, a lot of content needs to be made available. One important way to do this is to repurpose the content you write into different mediums. You can “reuse the research you do on a topic to create videos, blog posts, podcasts and infographics. That way you have more chance of that quality information getting to the people you want to see it.
Know who and what There are some questions you should ask yourself before you even begin to write your content. Questions like: who is my specific audience, what is the purpose of the content and what action do I want the audience to take will help you determine the slant and voice for each piece of content. Always have a call to action Believe it or not, some new content marketers forget to include clear Calls to Action for their content. Since the purpose of content marketing is to get readers to take action after consuming the information, that’s just wasting the time and effort that went into developing it in the first place. You can include a variety of action steps including sharing on social media, joining your list, following you on social media, and yes, purchasing a product or service. Just make sure to always include one”and only one at the end of each piece of content.
Make your content scannable We are all inundated with information all day long in our digital world. To make sure that your content is some of it that your target market consumes, it’s imperative that you make it easy to scan. Use subheadings, bolded words, images and plenty of whitespace to keep readers’ eyes on your content, instead of someone else’s.
